Tropical fruits & Rice wine

Baoting County, located at the foot of Wuzhi Mountain in the south of Hainan Island, has a total area of 1160.7 km2 and a population of 150,000.

Its main tourist attractions include Qixianling Hot Spring Resort, Qianlong Cave at Maogan, Xian'an Stone Forest, Qixian Hill, the Li and Miao Villages at Mao'an and the Tropical Crops Research Institute. The country is well known for tropical fruits and the Shanlan rice wine.

Transport in Baoting is mainly by land. A highway running through the county from south to north connects Baoting with Lingshui and is linked to Haikou-Sanya eastern and central highways.

Maogan Qianlong Cave

The Maogan Qianlong Cave is about 30 km to the west of Baoting County. It is named after the village where it is located. The cave is 400 m long and over 20 m wide. It is the biggest of its kind in the province. Visitors can appreciate the stalagmites in various shapes inside the cave, as well as enjoying the exquisite tropical scenery of old trees outside.

Qixian Ridge

The seven peaks of the mountain are just like seven persons looking to the sky. To look from a long distance, the seven peaks look like seven beautiful girls, standing in thin veils. At noon , when the fog disappears, the seven peaks are just like seven swords pointing to the sky.

Qixianling Hot Spring
To the northeast of Baoting County, 10 km, the Qixianling Hot Spring Resort is located. At the foot of the mountain, there are scattered more than twenty hot springs.

The Nanguo Areca Manor
The Nanguo Areca Manor is situated in the south of Baoting County. It is the largest of its kind in Hainan and has the longest history. In the manor, there are scattered varieties of ancient trees.
